In 2018 I started Persist Fitness with the goal of creating a non-intimidating environment that meets people where they are and helps them to construct and achieve goals. I am here to provide the individuals with the chance to do things and be someone they may have never thought possible!
After graduating from the University of Dayton with a BA in Political Science and International Studies and as a Women’s Track and Field athlete, I worked for several years in the non-profit community in Cincinnati. However, I continued to be interested in health, nutrition and fitness. I began to educate myself and became more committed. I pursued my Spinning Instructor certification and began teaching right away. It was an amazing opportunity to work with people and to help them reach their fitness goals. As I spent a little more time in the fitness industry, I observed that some populations feel very intimidated by the “big box” gym.
As a lifelong athlete (cross-country, track, soccer and wrestling), health and wellness has been something I have always been passionate about. I became a Coach to share my passion, to make wellness through exercise accessible to all people and to positively impact lives.
Currently, I hold my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credentials from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I am married to Tim and we have two children, Colin (8) and Sloane (5). Additionally, I compete in powerlifting and in my spare time I enjoy reading and cooking.
